In a shocking turn of events the winner of Round 2 of the World Cup is Paola Pezzo of Italy riding for Gary Fisher. Second is Alison Sydor of Canada riding for Cannondale. Third is Nadia de Negri of Italy riding for Bianchi Martini. To the sound of thunderous cheering Kathy Lynch of Moutueka New Zealand riding for Avanti has come fourth. A good day for Italy.

Paola continues to lead the field with her sparkly pants, increasing her lead over Alison Sydor to over 3 minutes. Nadia De Negri is holding steadily at third. Cannondale rider Annabella Stropparo she's fourth, she's still riding, what more can we say? Fifth is Lesley Tomlinson on her Kona (which has a very styley paint job) New Zealand favourite and all round local guru Kathy Lynch is coming 6th up one place from the first lap. This is the final lap. This commentary team has been joined by Rachel.
